Orange County Public Libraries serve over 1.5 million diverse residents, and all libraries are equipped with free wireless Internet, as well as Internet-ready computers for use by visitors. With an account and a PIN number, California residents also have access to online reference materials remotely at all times. Within OC libraries are special collections on California history, African American, Asian American, and Hispanic American studies, as well as materials in other languages – Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Along with children's and adult reference services, Orange County libraries provide various reading programs, book discussions, and lectures.
