Trabuco Canyon is located in Orange County near the Santa Ana Mountains. The word 'trabuco' means 'blunderbuss', which is a type of shotgun. The canyon still has tunnels from when the town made an unsuccessful attempt into the mining business. The area is primarily known for its churches, its old-fashioned Independence Day Parade, and the Trabuco Oaks Steak House favorited by former president Nixon.
